Township Complaint Procedure
The proper way to file a township complaint is to contact the Zoning Inspector and request a Complaint Form. This form must be completed and returned to the Zoning Inspector prior to any investigation or any action being taken.  You can DOWNLOAD COMPLAINT FORM HERE.

The complaint form is a public record. No complaints over the phone or in letter form will be addressed, unless this form is completed and returned to the zoning office.

Please remember to speak slowly and clearly when leaving your phone number and name on the zoning phone. I will return your calls Monday thru Friday 8:00AM -4:00PM

     "You might need a permit if..."

  • You plan on putting up a pool this year.    
           Pools require zoning permits.  Read Article III  (306.01)  for details like size pools, fencing requirements BEFORE you begin construction of your pool and decks.

  • You plan on erecting a fence...
        ALL fences require zoning permits.  

  • You plan on enclosing the hot tub!
  • You plan on building a shed, pool storage, or mini greenhouse!
               Note:  Sheds on railroad ties or similar "non" foundations still need a permit!
                    Awning type carports or tent type structures are also considered accessory buildings
   and need a permit!

Did You Know that anyone in the County that disturbs 1 acre or more of soil needs a  Erosion and Sediment Control Permit from the County Soil & Water per EPA Rules except agricultural interests.

Carlisle Township does not require a permit for garage / yard sales.

Sales may last up to 5 days and may not exceed 2 per year.


You may not sell other peoples property. 
Please remove signs when sale is over!
