Bat Nesting Survey

NOTICE TO RESIDENTS IN THE RUSSIA ROAD/WEST RIDGE ROAD AREA: The Lorain County Engineer's Office has informed the township that a graduate student from the University of Cincinnati has been granted permission to conduct a study concerning bat nesting under three (3) bridges in Lorain County and the Russia Road bridge just west of West Ridge Road is included. Residents should not be alarmed to see the student placing and removing a black box containing monitoring equipment under the bridge. The box will be used to monitor bat activity and is no risk to the structure or the community.
