CURBSIDE TRASH & RECYCLABLE SERVICE
The Carlisle Township Board of Trustees has entered into an agreement with Rumpke Waste & Recycling Services to provide curbside pickup for Carlisle Township residents. The contract is effective April 1, 2024 with the base prices fixed for a five (5) year period. Each Residential Unit (RU) will be provided one (1) 96 gallon wheeled collection container for Solid Waste and one (1) 64 gallon wheeled collection container for Recyclable Materials. A RU may request a smaller Solid Waste collection container for a reduction in base cost.
I really hope they don’t renew this contract, having to schedule a bulk pickup in advance and only being allowed two large items a months is such a hassle.. We ordered a new bed set, I called to ask when bulk day was, the rep said “its anytime but only two large items or 6 bags” . So we sat it out it was only a twin sized bed so we figured they’ll just take it once they see it’s not a big King or anything crazy.. Well it sat on the lawn for a month, before I called back again and was told more information about needing to actually schedule it.. Any how first month they took the bed…
I miss republic services they were way better with bulk pickup, eveytime i call rumpke they tell me ok on what I say that I have and every single time they leave stuff behind. Republic never had an amount restriction they would always take everything!
