Leaf Burning Is Illegal in Carlisle Township

No burning is permitted of leaves, twigs, limbs, or yard waste.

Ohio Revised Code 1503.18 prohibits open burning statewide in unincorporated areas during the months of October and November. This is because in the fall fire danger is high due to the abundant of dry leaves and dead grass. Leaf fires can obscure roadway visibility and cause a health risk to residents with respiratory concerns.
