In December 2025, the Ohio Township Association, in cooperation with Silverload Consulting, published The Economic Contribution of Ohio Townships  which estimates the economic impact of Ohio townships and  compares the demographic and economic characteristics of townships and municipal areas. It illustrates much of what we have known for a long time and which draws residents to township life, that Ohio townships generally spend less, tax less and borrow less than municipalities of similar size.
